Melon Day, annually held from January to February in the compound of the Kuraburi's office , exhibits agricultural produces, in particular melon , melon contest, beauty contest, exhibitions and local food.
Chinese Goddess ldol Procession , annually held from February to March on the Sai Nai Road of Tambol Tham Nam Put near the Yai Market , Marches with the the idol and weapons kept in the shrine of Ma Jor Po around the town. Chinese musical band excitingly supplements the grandeur of the ceremony. Local products and entertainment like a shadow show, Manohra performance and a song-and-dance drama are available.
Red Cross Fair , annually organized from January to February in front of town hall, displays loca products, beauty contest, exhibitions from state agencies, local shows and other enterainment.
Sea Tortoise Preservation Festival , annually organized from March 1-7 on the Taimuang Beach, exhibits local products, exhibition on environment and undersea living creatures, local games including a shadow show and Manolira performance. Freeing tortoises into the sea is the highlight of the events.

Wat kao Annual Festival, annually held in April at Wat Kao Charoen Tham, Tambol Krasom, Amphur Takua Thung, offers auspicious opportunity to people for making their merit.
Fruits Fair , annually organized in July at the office of Amphur Taimuang, exhibits the fruits contest. Local delicious fruits are available at reasonable prices.
Tay Kra Chat Festival, annually held on September 13 at Wat Intha Phum, Amphur Kapong, exhibits religious activities and the offering – essentials-to –the meed-ceremony.
Boat Floating Ceremony, annually held by sea gypsies dwelling on the Surin island from April to May at their village on the Surin Tai island, celebrates the pole marking spirits of their ancestors. The communion with the spirit, offering sacrifices to spirits, consulting oracles, musical performance, dancing and gabang (mini-boat) floating are very interesting.
Vishnu ldol Sacrifice Ceremony, annually held in May at the Phra Narai Park in Amphur Takuapa, displays the ritual offering sacrifices to Vishnu god and his subject gods, student activities and entertainment. |
